Guardian Fall Detector

The hands free fall detector is designed to know when a person has fallen and is potentially unconscious or unable to call for help.

The built-in “tilt” switch activates a timer and an audible reminder in the PERS base unit that repeats “USER HAS FALLEN.” Once the timer has expired and the unit has not been “tilted” upright, the Guardian Monitoring station is notified and the appropriate help is dispatched.

If activated in error, simply “tilting” the fall detector back to a vertical position will activate the base unit to announce “USER IS OK” and not dial out to the monitoring station.

The waterproof fall detector is also equipped with a panic button, a belt/pocket clip and a base holder for when it is not in use.

Guardian Help Button

This water resistant, portable Help Button is ideal for hallways, bathrooms and bedside nightstands. The Guardian Help Button is an alarm transmitter that is designed for use with the Personal Emergency Response System. The Help Button can be wall mounted using the integral snap-on mounting bracket, or simply placed on a table. Four rubber "feet" are supplied for table top use.

Door & Window Contacts

If doors and/or windows are of special concern, Wireless Contacts can be added to the Personal Emergency Response System. When the system is armed or turned on, the opening of a door or window will activate an alarm that can be heard in the home. Guardian’s Monitoring Station will also be notified that someone is either entering or leaving the premises. Our Monitoring Personnel will call the premises and the people on the Responder List to advise them of the situation. Door contacts are used for security and to help manage people who wander, such as those suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Motion Detector

Infrared Motion Detectors can be added to a central area of the home to detect movement. When the system is armed and the infrared beams detect movement, a signal is sent to Guardian. Our Monitoring Personnel will call the premises to verify whether the person is authorized, and then call the Responder List to advise them of the situation.

The Infrared Motion Detector can also be used to manage clients who wander. If the client wanders and trips the Infrared Motion Detector, the caregiver will be notified by an alarm via their computer. If the system is not reset, Guardian Monitoring Personnel will follow the instructions that were given at the time of installation.

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, when properly placed in a subscriber's home, will alert our Central Monitoring Station to advise the fire department of the emergency. Voice contact will also be made to warn subscribers and family if they are home, and possibly unaware of the problems. Some subscribers may need to be reminded to leave.

Pillow Switch

If you are physically unable to activate your Personal Emergency Response System via your wrist or necklace help button, then this device is the perfect alternative. This large, easy to see and use help button has a smooth, soft top foam surface, which makes this a suitable switch for head or cheek activation. Easily attaches to a pillow or wheelchair, and includes tactile and auditory feedback.

Pressure Sensitive Floor Mat

When it’s necessary to know when someone gets out of bed, a Pressure Sensitive Floor Mat can be added to the Guardian Angel Medical Alarm. The Wireless Floor Mat can be placed next to a bed or other strategic place in the home to signal a caregiver that their loved one has gotten out of bed or stepped into an unsafe area. Stepping on the mat will activate an alarm that can be heard in the home and notify Guardian. Our Monitoring Personnel will call the premises and the Responder List to advise them of the situation.
