Central Monitoring Station

The Guardian Medical Monitoring Central Monitoring Station is considered one of the premiere monitoring stations in the country. It is rated and approved by Underwriters’ Laboratories and Factory Mutual. As such, we meet the very rigid standards required by those companies. It is important to note that this certificate is not held by most alarm monitoring companies in general, let alone companies that monitor personal emergency response systems.

These standards include, but are not limited to, a sophisticated automation system, sufficient stand-by power generator and a facility that meets strict fire and environmental codes. The Guardian Central Monitoring Station is equipped with a primary receiver, multiple backup receivers, event audio recording equipment, a backup generator power supply and a primary and backup telephone line monitor. A single element can fail without causing a loss of signal. Through the local telephone company, Guardian does have the ability to transfer all monitoring and communication systems, providing the assurance of uninterrupted service.

Our state-of-the-art computer automation system enables us to have at our fingertips:

• Detailed Site Information. To get the client help more expediently, this gives us the ability to instruct emergency personnel on location of keys, if a door is unlocked or where client spends most of their time.
• Detailed Client Information. With this information, we are able to inform emergency personnel of any ailments, age, preferred hospital or special instructions pertaining to client's needs.
• Monitoring Response. After determining help is needed, our trained monitoring personnel dispatch assistance appropriate to the type of emergency or per special intructions in client's account.
